‘It does really come to down to the 905’: Conservatives gain key seats in Greater Toronto

Boundary changes reshaped some ridings ahead of this election, forcing some sitting candidates to run in new ridings, with several declared as toss-ups going into election day.

The Liberal path to victory didn鈥檛 run through the 905听鈥 as it has in years past听鈥 as the Conservatives managed to gain key seats in the suburban region around Toronto.

But the tight races in the region听鈥 with many that weren鈥檛 called until late into the night听鈥 was more indicative of how divided the country was in the election.
