One person is dead and a male suspect is in custody after a Sunday morning stabbing in Etobicoke, police say.
Officers were on the scene of the incident near the  at 9:20 a.m., investigators said in a .
The male victim was taken to hospital with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries early on Sunday, paramedics said. Officials later said he died of his injuries.

“We can appreciate how difficult and how troublesome these situations are for members of the community,” Duty Insp. Todd Jocko told reporters near the scene.Â
Jocko said police can’t currently offer more information about the suspect and victim’s identities and relationship, the specific crime scene or the weapon involved.
“It is very early in the investigation,” Jocko said, adding residents can expect an increased police presence as officers investigate further. “Please know that we are dedicating the necessary resources.”
