º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøfire crews work to extinguish a blaze at two houses on Balmoral Avenue, near Yonge Street, after a gas line was severed late Saturday afternoon.
Two midtown º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøhomes caught on fire late Saturday afternoon after a gas line was broken by an excavator.
Firefighters were called to a row of homes on  around 4:15 p.m.
An excavator was being operated near the properties when it struck a natural gas line and caught on fire. One of the homes also caught on fire, which then spread to the home next to it.Â

All occupants from the two affected homes, and third one nearby, were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
Enbridge crews were working at the scene and by 6 p.m. the gas line had been shut off.
By 8 p.m. the blaze was extinguished and Balmoral Avenue had reopened to traffic and pedestrians.Â
Though the fire was out, º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøFire Services said it was still considered an active scene as firefighters kept an eye on the houses to ensure temperatures cooled and nothing reignited.
