Just after 3:20 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a “large” tree branch that fell onto the street near St. Clair Avenue West and Avenue Road, officers said.
“It is too early to determine why the tree branch fell,” police added in an email.
Urban Forestry staff from the City of º£½ÇÉçÇø¹ÙÍøresponded to the fallen tree and were in the process of cleaning up the branch debris on Tuesday evening, said Russell Baker, a spokesperson for the city.ÌýCrews are also assessing if additional work is required on the tree, adding that their focus is on addressing immediate hazards for public safety.
“We take this evolving situation very seriously and ask members of the public to report hazardous trees and branches to 311 to help ensure staff can investigate and remove hazards for the safety of all,” Baker said.Ìý
Eastbound St. Clair Avenue WestÌýwasÌýclosed between Deer Park CrescentÌýandÌýAvenue Road,Ìýbut have since reopened.
